The reserve also boasts cheetah, brown hyena, large variety of antelope, giraffe and bird species. Visit a private game lodge and enjoy an open safari vehicle game drive, traversing over 8 500 hectares of pristine bush, accompanied by an experienced game ranger.
Description
Guests visit a private game lodge, situated within the Big 5 Dinokeng Game Reserve, only a short 90 minute drive from Sandton where guests are able to experience the African bush with our qualified rangers and trackers on well-maintained fleet of game safari vehicles. Daily guided game drives are available (times vary according to season), taking guests to the best lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah and hippo sightings imaginable. Other species guests can expect to see are giraffe, eland, kudu, impala, zebra, blue wildebeest (Gnu), red hartebeest, tsessebe, waterbuck, warthog, black-backed jackal, crocodile, ostrich, aardwolf, aardvark, brown and spotted hyena, caracal, serval, porcupine, Genet (small-spotted and large-spotted) and the occasional leopard. Safari 4WD vehicles are in a privileged position to be able to traverse over 8 500 hectares of indigenous bush vegetation increasing the chances of good animal sightings. Snacks consisting of dry wors/biltong, potato crisps, nuts and dried fruit and one standard choice of soft drink, beer, house wine, cider, juice or water per adult/child are included in this activity.
